I’m Chelsea, the person behind Nomal Maison.

Nomal Maison began with our own home. When we moved into our new build, it was a completely blank canvas. White walls, empty rooms and not a lot of character.

Over the last few years, I’ve shared the journey of slowly turning it into a home that feels like us, layering warmth, texture and personality along the way.

What started as a little corner of Instagram to document our home soon grew into a community of people who share the same love for interiors and creating spaces that feel personal, considered and lived in.

Why we started

As our home evolved, I was constantly asked where pieces were from. The furniture, lighting, accessories and little finishing touches that helped bring each room together.

That became the inspiration behind Nomal Maison.

I wanted to create somewhere I could bring together the kind of pieces I genuinely love and would choose for my own home, making it a little easier to create a home you love too.

I’ve always believed you don’t need an old house, a huge budget or a perfectly designed space to create something beautiful. Our own new build has taught me that more than anything.

It’s not about where you start, it’s what you do with it that makes a house feel like home.
